The Living Land Series

The Living Land Series is a programme of agroecology workshops for land and nature connection throughout the year, led by experienced biodynamic practitioners and facilitators Kai Lange and Jonathan Code.

Each session will incorporate theory, practice and reflection.

BEES, BIRDS & FLOWERING PLANTS

Saturday 27th June

9am-1pm

Insects and birds are essential for healthy plant development, far beyond pollination. This workshop explores how to support bees to do their best, and enjoy the power of flowers.

Workshop leaders

Kai Lange

Kai draws his inspiration from working with nature. He has been a biodynamic farmer, fruit- and veg-grower since 1985, having trained in Germany, lived in Denmark and in the UK from 2000. Currently working for the Biodynamic College, he is passionate to share his love for farming and growing through education and mentoring. He is developing and sharing practices to start a dialog with nature, consciously engaging all senses, together with his wife Lucy at HortusHeart.org.uk.

Jonathan Code

Jonathan is an environmental educator, researcher and author, currently leading the MSc programme in Agroecology at the Royal Agricultural University where he is a Senior Lecturer. With a strong interest in native American philosophy and the natural world, Jonathan regularly teaches for the Biodynamic College amongst other organisations, with focus areas including alchemy and spagyrics, essential oil distillation, traditional craft and integrative education.
